Sam Wakefield

Sam Wakefield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sam is currently working as the Vice President of Corporate Law at Scholar Rock since August 2021. Prior to this, Sam held the position of Senior Director and Head of Corporate Transactions, Legal at Agios Pharmaceuticals from October 2015 to August 2021.

Before joining Agios Pharmaceuticals, Sam served as a Senior Associate at WilmerHale from August 2011 to October 2015. Sam began their career as an Associate at Partners HealthCare System, Inc. in 2009, where they worked on transactions in the academic medical environment, focusing on structuring and negotiating various agreements in support of industry-sponsored research.

Sam also gained experience as an Associate at Cooley Godward from September 2008 to 2009 and as an Electrical Engineer at Anteon from May 2003 to July 2005.
