Derek Flynn

Derek Flynn has over a decade of experience in the financial industry, starting as a Trade Floor Support IT Analyst at Lehman Brothers in 2007. Derek then moved on to roles at Nomura International, where they served as Equity Trade Floor Support Team Lead and later as Centralised Dealer. Flynn also worked at BlueCrest Capital Management, LLP as Senior Equity Trader, EMEA Head of Equity Execution, and Global Head of Equity Execution. Derek'smost recent positions at Schonfeld include Head of European Trading, Head of Europe - Non Investment, Global Head of Discretionary Trading Product, and currently as Head of Trading and Execution Strategy. In 2014, they briefly ventured into investing with Qredo, focusing on privacy, anonymity, and compliance technologies.

Derek Flynn completed a BSC in Computer Systems at the University of Limerick from 2003 to 2007, focusing on Systems Analysis, Database Design, and Programming. In 2018, they obtained an Intermediate Python for Data Science Course certification from DataCamp.
