Stephen Meuer

Stephen Meuer is an experienced educator currently serving as an English Second Language Instructor and Middle School E-Sports Team Manager at School District 197 in West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan, MN, since September 2013. Meuer's role involves modeling positive social interactions and leadership through E-Sports, in addition to focusing on curriculum integration, culturally responsive teaching, and support for English newcomers. As a Building Equity Team Member, efforts are dedicated to amplifying community voices and addressing disparities in graduation and discipline rates. Previously, Meuer served as a Union Representative for Teachers Federation #1148 and completed student teaching at Lighthouse Academy of Nations and Henry Sibley High School. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Hamline University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Minnesota.
