Dr. Arnella Jamison has extensive work experience in the Pontiac School District. Dr. Arnella began their career in 2003 as the Special Education Department Head of Middle & High School/Teacher. In 2014, they took on the role of Director, and also served as the Special Education Secondary Department Head & Teacher Consultant. Currently, they are still working at the Pontiac School District.
Dr. Arnella Jamison has an extensive education history. Dr. Arnella obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sociology/Social Welfare, with a minor in Business Administration, from Lane College in 1983. Prior to that, they received their high school diploma in General Studies from Covington High School in 1979.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Dr. Jamison pursued a Post-Bachelor program in Elementary Education and Teaching at Oakland University from 2001 to 2003. Following this, they earned a Masters in Education with a special education - LD endorsement from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2005.
Dr. Jamison continued their academic journey with a Masters of Science degree in Educational Leadership/Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Ann Arbor, which they completed in 2008. Dr. Arnella then went on to obtain their highest educational achievement, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Special Education Leadership from Capella University in 2013.
