Klaus Portmanns

Klaus Portmanns has a strong background in sales and business development in the aviation industry. Klaus is currently working as the Global Sales Director Aviation at SCHOTT. Prior to that, they served as the Sales Director HondaJet at Rheinland Air Service GmbH from 2021 to 2023. Klaus also took a private sabbatical in 2021 to acquire an additional pilot license. Klaus worked as a Sales Director at GE Aviation from 2019 to 2021. Before that, they held the position of Business Development Aerospace at INFORM GmbH - Optimization Software from 2018 to 2019. Klaus has a long history with SCHOTT AG, where they served in various roles, including Director Business Development Aviation, Director Sales Aviation, and Business Manager Aviation from 2007 to 2018. Prior to joining SCHOTT AG, Klaus worked as a Bereichsleiter Aerospace CE at Pall GmbH from 1997 to 2007.

Klaus Portmanns completed a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Aeronautik und Astronautik from RWTH Aachen University from 1989 to 1997. Klaus later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Open University from 2000 to 2003.
