Zhijun Cai

Zhijun Cai is a CFD Engineer at Schuco USA since August 2016, with extensive academic and research experience in engineering mechanics and mechanical engineering. Prior roles include teaching assistantships at Columbia University and the University of Southern California, where responsibilities involved supporting courses in Solid Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, and Finite Element methods. Research contributions include the development of the mixed finite element method for hydromechanical problems, resulting in a published paper in the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering. Zhijun has also managed numerous projects, focusing on viscoplasticity and nonlinear computational mechanics, and has experience in industrial design and simulation from a summer internship at Hongwuhuan Group. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, along with a Bachelor of Science in Thermal and Power Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
