Andrew B. Blackman, CPA/PFS/CFF, CFP®, MBA, DABFA, FACFEI, is a senior partner at Schulman Lobel LLP in New York City since January 2013, bringing extensive experience in financial and tax planning for high net worth clients. Formerly a partner at Shapiro Lobel LLP from 1992 to 2012 and at Freedman & Blackman Accountancy Corporation from 1984 to 1990, Andrew was a pioneer in personal financial specialization, coauthoring the AICPA publication on planning for performing and creative artists. Additionally, Andrew served as the initial past president of the All-Star Financial Group, LLC, which focuses on delivering high-level management of financial affairs. Andrew began a career in public accounting in the late 1970s, gaining valuable experience as a tax manager at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman after transitioning from Touche Ross & Co.
