Erin Wayman

Erin Wayman is an experienced magazine professional with a focus on science writing and editing. Currently serving as the Managing Editor at Science News Magazine since January 2013, Erin has held various roles including Deputy Managing Editor for Production, Production Editor, and Earth and Environment Writer. Previously, Erin worked as an Assistant Editor at Smithsonian Magazine and as an Associate Editor at EARTH Magazine. Early career experience includes serving as an Editorial Associate at Current Anthropology and a Visitor Survey Assistant at Lincoln Park Zoo. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Science Writing from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree in Biological Anthropology from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Beloit College.
