Maria Temming

Maria Temming is a skilled science reporter with extensive experience in journalism, particularly in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. Currently serving as a reporter for Science News since May 2017, Maria previously held positions including Media Relations Summer Science Writer at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory and AAAS Mass Media Fellow at Scientific American, where research and article writing on various scientific topics were primary responsibilities. An earlier internship at Sky and Telescope Magazine involved writing news articles and educational content related to astronomy. Maria holds a Master's degree in Science Writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from Elon University.
