Rachel Goldman Alper has held various roles throughout their work experience. Rachel began their career in 2005 as a 6th Grade Teacher at Teach For America. In 2008, they worked as a Curriculum Developer at ePals Media, Cricket Magazine Group, Cobblestone Publishing, and as a Central Office Staffing Specialist at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). From 2010 to 2013, they served as a Development Officer at The Posse Foundation. Following this, they were the Director of Strategic Alliances at Maker Education Initiative (Maker Ed) from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Society for Science and held the roles of Director of Development, Chief of Staff, and is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer.
Rachel Goldman Alper obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law, Letters, and Society from the University of Chicago between 2001 and 2005. Following this, they pursued further education at Pace University and completed a Master of Science in Teaching (M.S.T.) degree between 2005 and 2007.
