Michael Huberty

Michael Huberty is an experienced educator and specialist in mathematics, currently serving as a Mathematics Assessment Specialist at the Minnesota Department of Education since August 2019. With a lengthy history of involvement in mathematics education, Michael has been a coach for the Minnesota State High School Mathematics League and Science Olympiad, Inc. since 1998 and September 1994, respectively. Michael has also taught mathematics, statistics, and applied science at Mounds View Public Schools and has held positions at the University of Minnesota as a Mathematics Teaching Specialist and Graduate Statistics Instructor since 1989. Previous roles include auditing and case investigation for the Minnesota Department of Health from November 2020 to June 2021 and serving as a Visiting Master Teacher for mathematics and statistics at St. Olaf College in 2005-2006. Michael's educational credentials include completion of coursework for a PhD in Educational Psychology and holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Mathematics Education and a Bachelor of Mathematics.
