Amy Leibrand

Amy Leibrand is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental science and science writing. Currently serving as a Science Writer at the Science and Technology Corporation since February 2022, Amy supports the Joint Polar Satellite System program at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, focusing on the development of the annual Low Earth Orbit Science Digest. Amy also owns and operates This Space is Rented, a platform for visual arts and curation, since 2011. Previously, as a Principal Research Scientist at Battelle from 2008 to 2021, Amy led multi-year research initiatives involving Earth observations and machine learning. Early career experience includes working as an Environmental Scientist at Stone Environmental Engineering & Science, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed data interpretation and regulatory compliance. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental (Soil) Science with a minor in Environmental Chemistry from The Ohio State University.
