Alexei Jones

Alexei Jones serves as the Head of EU foreign and development policy at ECDPM since November 2017, leading a team focused on policy research, analysis, and organizational management. Prior to this role, Alexei held the position of Senior Policy Officer specializing in EU policies and international cooperation. In addition to work at ECDPM, Alexei has been a University Lecturer at Sciences Po Lille since 2009, teaching courses on EU development policy and financing. Alexei’s experience includes roles as an independent consultant and policy adviser for various EU presidencies, providing technical assistance and strategic advice in development cooperation. Earlier positions involved policy formulation at the European Commission and academic research associated with international law and development studies. Alexei holds a Ph.D. in International Law and Development Studies from Université Côte d'Azur and a Master’s degree from Université Paul Cézanne.
