Dr Sami Makki is currently a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the American University, School of International Service, serving from September 2024. As Co-responsible for the transdisciplinary program DePERU at Université de Lille since July 2013, Dr Makki has played a key role in research on decision processes under extreme radical uncertainties. An active researcher at CERAPS from 2020 to 2023, Dr Makki contributed to the ANR "DATAWAR" program and participated in PEI 2013's research on the emergence of international standards. At Sciences Po Lille since January 2008, Dr Makki holds the position of Maître de conférences specializing in international relations and has been responsible for the Master's program in Strategy, Intelligence, and Risk Management since 2009. Previous roles include co-director of research at the Centre d'études africaines and extensive experience with CIRPES, Tel Aviv University, and International Alert. Dr Makki's academic background includes a Doctorate in Political Sociology from EHESS, complemented by a Master 2 in Sociology and a Licence and Maîtrise in Contemporary History from Université Paris-Sorbonne.
