Christian Gügi has extensive work experience in various roles within the tech industry. Christian started their career at Oscor Inc. in 2000 as a Software Engineer. In 2001, they joined IBM Global Services as an IT Specialist. From 2003 to 2010, Christian worked at Namics AG, starting as a Software Engineer and later becoming a Senior Software Engineer.
In 2011, Christian joined MeMo News AG as a Software Architect, where they were responsible for leading the development of a media monitoring and Big Data analytics tool. Christian then moved on to YMC AG in 2012 as a Lead Architect, building powerful analytics solutions with Hadoop. Christian later transitioned to the role of Solutions Architect Big Data Analytics, assisting clients in successfully running Hadoop and related technologies for their businesses.
In 2014, Christian joined SCIGILITY, where they held multiple roles. Christian started as a Principal Big Data Architect, utilizing their expertise in Big Data analytics. From 2017 to 2021, Christian served as the Head of Analytics Solutions, leading the development and delivery of analytics solutions for clients. In January 2019, they were promoted to the position of Head of Delivery, overseeing the successful execution of projects.
Throughout their career, Christian Gügi has consistently demonstrated their skills and expertise in the field of Big Data analytics, software architecture, and solution development.
Christian Gügi has a diverse education history that spans multiple institutions and fields of study. In 1996, they began their educational journey at HTWG Hochschule Konstanz – Technik, Wirtschaft und Gestaltung, where they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering, earning a Dipl. Ing. FH in 2000. Continuing their education in the field of technology, Christian pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Information Technology from the same institution, graduating in 2003.
In 2012, Christian attended Stanford University, where they obtained a Certificate in Machine Learning. The following year, they expanded their knowledge in the field of data science by completing a Certificate program in Introduction to Recommender Systems from the University of Minnesota and another Certificate program in Introduction to Data Science from the University of Washington.
Christian continued to enhance their expertise by obtaining various certifications. In 2012, they completed a course on Machine Learning offered by Coursera. In 2013, they obtained a certification in Introduction to Recommender Systems and Introduction to Data Science, both from Coursera. The year 2014 saw Christian earn further certifications, including R Programming from Coursera and Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop (CCDH) from Cloudera. In 2019, they completed a course titled "AI For Everyone," offered by deeplearning.ai.
Most recently, Christian pursued further education at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2021 to 2022, focusing on Strategy & Innovation.
