Steve Scott

Steve Scott has been working in the technology sector since 2010. Steve began their career at Digital Science, where they were a founding member of the management team and served as Director of Portfolio Development. In this role, they oversaw the majority of Digital Science's portfolio investments, taking early-stage startup founders through product and business model validation to launch and growth. Steve also served as a Board Member.

In 2015, Steve became a Non-executive Director at Overleaf (Writelatex Limited), a collaborative writing and publishing system. In 2016, they joined figshare as COO, and in 2019 they became a Board Observer at Strateos, a pioneer in the development of remote access laboratories and lab control software. Steve also served as a Non Executive Director at Writefull, Scismic, and Gigantum.

Additionally, Steve has held various mentorship and executive roles at BioData ltd., BioRAFT, and ReadCube (Labtiva Inc.).

Steve Scott attended Edinburgh Napier University from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a BA in Publishing. In 2012, they attended the University of Cambridge's Cambridge Judge Business School and earned a Mini MBA.
