Lisa Schlender

Lisa Schlender is an experienced professional with a diverse background in human resources, project management, and marine biology. Currently serving as HR Manager, Administrative Manager, and Project Specialist at SCJ Alliance since February 2017, Lisa has a strong track record in event planning, community representation, and risk assessment, including securing insurance for significant projects. Prior experience as a Project Specialist at Jesse Engineering from June 2012 to December 2016 involved managing compliance documentation and collaborating with regulatory agencies. Lisa's foundational expertise in marine biology was developed during a lengthy tenure as a Research Biologist at Cascadia Research Collective from January 1995 to April 2011, where extensive fieldwork included whale population studies and marine mammal stranding responses. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from The Evergreen State College and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Pierce College.
