Karen Kemper is an Associate Professor at Clemson University since August 1992, specializing in obesity, physical activity, functional fitness, and related research. Additionally, Karen Kemper co-founded "The Ugly Dress" in 2009, an initiative focused on presentations and books regarding living with chronic illness. Furthermore, Karen Kemper serves as the Vice President of the South Carolina Scleroderma Chapter of the National Scleroderma Foundation, collaborating with President Susan Melvin to support education, advocacy, and research for scleroderma patients. Prior experience includes roles as a presenter for Health Directions Lexington Medical Center and as the Director of Programs and Development for Wellness at Bruce Hospital System. Karen Kemper holds a PhD and MSPH in Public Health, as well as a BS in Biology, all from the University of South Carolina.
