Erik Schechinger

Erik Schechinger currently serves as Vice President of Information Security at Scopely, having joined the company in June 2021 after progressing from the role of Sr. Director in the same field. Prior to Scopely, Erik served as a Cybersecurity Leader in Global Information Security at The Walt Disney Company from September 2010 to June 2021, where responsibilities included developing security architecture, leading interdisciplinary teams, conducting architectural and risk assessments, and steering identity and access management strategies. Erik's earlier experience includes roles as a Security Architect and Senior Information Systems Auditor at Union Pacific Railroad from January 1999 to September 2010. Erik holds a Master of Science in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity from Florida Institute of Technology (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (1996-1998).
