Kristel Saluste has held a variety of roles in the hospitality and business management industries. In 2006, they began their career as an Assistant at Kõrveküla Puhkekeskus, a family business, where they gained practical skills in hospitality. In 2012, they worked as a Waitress at Disneyland Paris. From 2013-2014, they worked as a Waitress and Bar Staff at Café Wabadus. In 2014, they worked as a Bartender at Aruba Bournemouth, where they acquired excellent communication skills, tact, and diplomacy. From 2018-2019, they worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as an Assistant Branch Manager, Graduate Management Assistant, and Graduate Management Trainee. Finally, in 2019-2020, they worked at Thorgate as a Culture Manager and Assistant to the CEO, and at Scoro as an Account Executive and Sales Development Representative.

Kristel Saluste studied at Gustav Adolf Grammar School from 2001 to 2013. Kristel then attended Bournemouth University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management. In 2013, they also obtained the DELF (Diplôme D'études en Langue Française) B2 from the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP).
