Sejal Patel

Sejal Patel has a strong background in pharmaceutical research and leadership roles. Sejal is currently the Vice President of Chemistry at Scorpion Therapeutics, where they oversee the chemistry department. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director at Scorpion Therapeutics and played a pivotal role in the company. Sejal also has a significant career at Novartis, where they held multiple positions including Associate Director and Scientific Lead on Closed loop Delivery. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic planning, project development, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Before joining Novartis, Sejal worked as a Research Investigator at Novartis (NITD) and as a Research Scientist at Kosan Biosciences. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at UC Irvine, earning a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from 1994 to 1998. Sejal also obtained a certification in "Human Resources: Pay Strategy" from LinkedIn in 2019.
