Angela Contreras, MEng., serves as the Vice President of Global HR Services Operations & Operational Excellence at Scotiabank since January 2020. Previously, Angela held various senior roles at CIBC from November 2006 to January 2020, including Sr. Director of Process Engineering & Digitization and Sr. Director of Operations Capability, Governance and Controls within Finance Shared Services. Angela's expertise lies in process engineering, digitization strategies, and operational excellence, leading teams to enhance organizational effectiveness and manage significant projects such as the transition to IFRS accounting standards. Angela also has experience as a Sr. Consultant at IAG Consulting and as the Lead of Business Intelligence and Strategic Projects at Pacífico Seguros. Educational credentials include a Master of Engineering from Ryerson University and a Masters Certificate in Financial Services Leadership from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
