Jean-Francois Perrault currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Scotiabank, a position held since December 2015. Prior to this role, Jean-Francois held various positions at Finance Canada from October 2009 to December 2015, including Assistant Deputy Minister and Director/General Director. Jean-Francois also worked at the Bank of Canada as Assistant Chief for Canadian Projection and Model Development from June 2008 to October 2009, and as an Economist/Assistant Chief from June 1996 to March 2005. Additionally, Jean-Francois served as a Senior Advisor at the International Monetary Fund from June 2006 to June 2008 and as a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group from March 2005 to June 2006. Jean-Francois Perrault earned a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Ottawa, completing the degree between 1989 and 1996.
