Oliver Cronk has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Oliver is currently working as a Technology Director at Scott Logic, where they lead on Sustainable Technology and technology strategy. Oliver also has experience as an Advising Member at Intersection Group and as a Contributing Editor at Architecture and Governance Magazine. In addition, Oliver has served as the Community Lead and Podcast Host at Architect Tomorrow. Prior to their current role, they worked as the Chief Architect, EMEA at Tanium and as the Chief Architect - Risk Advisory at Deloitte. Oliver has also worked as a Parish Councillor at Hermitage Parish, a Senior Enterprise Architect at Nationwide Building Society, an Enterprise Architect at Three., and an Applications Architect at RWE Supply & Trading. Oliver has gained expertise in various areas, including software design and development, endpoint management, risk management, and enterprise architecture.
Oliver Cronk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Essex, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their degree, Oliver has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2011, they became a Licensed Zapthink Architect, specializing in Enterprise Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture, Middleware, and Cloud technologies. Oliver also became a Certified Scrum Master, certified by the Scrum Alliance, in May 2011. In 2012, Oliver obtained the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Moving forward, Oliver obtained the certification for The Internet of Things from King's College London through FutureLearn in November 2015. In November 2018, Oliver became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Oliver further expanded their knowledge in cloud architecture by completing the Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts certification offered by LinkedIn in December 2020. Lastly, in December 2022, Oliver obtained the Green Software for Practitioners (LFC131) certification from the Green Software Foundation.
