Martin Valenti has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Martin is currently the Director of Energy Transition & Green Enterprise at South of Scotland Enterprise since 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Strategic Initiatives at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) starting in 2005. From 2018 to April 2019, they worked as the Strategic Director at the Scottish Land Commission, focusing on transforming Scotland's approach to vacant and derelict land. Additionally, Martin served as the Vice Chair for Scotland's 2020 Climate Group from 2015 onwards. At SEPA, they held roles such as Climate Change and Business Engagement Manager and Project Director for the 2020 Climate Group. Martin also worked at Scottish Enterprise as a Doctor and was on secondment there. Previously, Martin was the Managing Director of Food Industry Advisory Service Ltd from 2001 to 2004.
Martin Valenti received their Bachelor of Science with honors in Environmental Health from the University of Strathclyde, where they studied from 1993 to 1997.
