Simon Bingham

Simon Bingham is an experienced professional in environmental regulation with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the International Development Manager at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency since June 1998, Simon focuses on developing regulatory frameworks and building capacity for environmental regulators globally. Previous roles at the agency include Development Unit Manager and Principal Regulatory Framework Specialist, contributing to the management of regulatory systems and the establishment of best practices. Simon also has experience with IMPEL, where, as a Board Member and Team Leader, significant contributions were made to the enforcement of environmental law across Europe. Earlier in the career, Simon worked as a Water Quality Officer at the National Rivers Authority, specializing in discharge modeling and licensing.
