Jocelyn Hinds has a diverse work experience across various organizations. Jocelyn is currently the Head of Data and Analysis at the Scottish Prison Service since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at The Scottish Government as an Assistant Statistician from 2018 to 2022, where they supported decision-making on NHS workforce and pay increases. Jocelyn also has experience as a Data and Intelligence Manager at the National Council for Palliative Care from 2014 to 2016, where they focused on patient activity data collection and analysis. Jocelyn served as a Planning and Performance Manager at City University London from 2013 to 2014, where they provided strategic reports and analyzed external and internal data. Before that, they worked as a Senior Data Analyst at Consumer Futures from 2011 to 2013, where they produced reports on energy-related data. Jocelyn also held roles at Central Office of Information, Cabinet Office, and Cancer Research UK, where they gained experience in communications, engagement, and strategy analysis.
Jocelyn Hinds completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Related Literature at the University of York from 2004 to 2007. From 2010 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London. In 2011 and 2012, Jocelyn obtained a Certificate in Counselling from Inter-Psyche in Kent. Lastly, from 2016 to 2018, they pursued another Master of Science (MSc) degree, this time in Psychological Counselling at Glasgow Caledonian University.
