Ian Laister

Ian Laister is the Managing Director at Bakkafrost Scotland, leading the production of top-quality Scottish salmon across over 50 sites and fostering the sustainability of rural communities. Laister serves as a Board Member of Salmon Scotland, advocating for the interests of farm-raised Scottish salmon, and as an Advisory Council Member for the Scottish Aquaculture Council, addressing the unique challenges of the aquaculture sector. Previous roles include Interim CFO and Operations Manager at FourC Services, Director of Projects & Strategy at ENGIE, and Finance Director in a joint venture at Carillion telent. Laister's extensive experience in finance and operations spans various sectors, including construction and energy, beginning with a managerial position at Deloitte. Laister holds a Fellow Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a BA Honours in Combined Studies from the University of Leeds and Barnsley College.
