Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is a skilled marine biologist with extensive experience in marine ecology and project management. As the Living Seas Manager at the Scottish Wildlife Trust, Jessica leads initiatives focused on marine conservation. Previously, as a Senior Project Officer at the Forth Estuary Forum, Jessica conducted research and synthesized data for the Scottish East Coast Review to support sustainable coastal management. Jessica's experience as a Squid Ageing Specialist at NOAA involved trace element analysis and ageing studies of ommastrephid squids, contributing valuable data to research assessments. A former Postdoctoral Researcher for the Falkland Islands Government, Jessica developed depletion models for commercial squid and assessed ecological factors affecting squid populations. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Applied Marine and Fisheries Ecology from the University of Aberdeen, an MSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton, and a BSc in Marine Biology from Swansea University. Currently, Jessica is pursuing an MBA at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
