Gareth Owen

Gareth Owen has extensive experience in forest management and client liaison, currently serving as Regional Manager for England & Wales at Scottish Woodlands Ltd since January 2008, after holding roles as Assistant Regional Manager and Area Forester. Prior to this, Gareth served as Senior Forest Manager and Forest Manager, focusing on staff training and management. Earlier experience includes a position as 2nd Lieutenant in the Scottish Transport Regiment (V) with the British Army and an Assistant Ecologist role at AMEC, where responsibilities included ecological surveying and mitigation supervision. Gareth began a career in forestry as a Trainee Forest Manager at the Forestry Commission, following the completion of a B.Sc. in Ecological Science (hons) Forestry at The University of Edinburgh.
