Scott Carter

Scott Carter is a seasoned professional in the forestry sector, currently serving as the Senior Harvesting Manager at Scottish Woodlands Ltd since July 2017. In this capacity, Scott develops sales strategies and cultivates client relationships while exploring new market opportunities for timber and forest management services. Previous roles include Harvesting Manager, where responsibilities encompassed health and safety oversight, budget preparation, and operational planning, as well as Assistant Harvesting Manager, focusing on timber mensuration and pre-harvesting assessments. Prior to entering the forestry field, Scott gained valuable experience at Tesco PLC from 2007 to 2016, initially as a General Assistant and later advancing to Night Manager, overseeing team management and operational duties. Scott holds a Higher National Diploma in Forestry from UHI and an Associate’s Degree in Science and Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
