Matthew Hamilton

Matthew Hamilton is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as an Assistant Project Manager for Offshore Development at ScottishPower Renewables since January 2024, focusing on the preparation and submission of consents documentation for East Anglia projects. Previously, from February 2022 to January 2024, Matthew held the position of Project Manager for Floating Wind at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, where responsibilities included managing joint industry projects aimed at reducing costs in floating wind technology. From September 2017 to February 2022, Matthew worked at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks as an Innovation Project Manager, overseeing a multi-million-pound portfolio of research and development projects, and negotiating complex contracts. Matthew began their career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, gaining expertise in network planning, investment management, and substation design. Matthew holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
