Roman Makovyak

Roman Makovyak has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Roman has held various positions in different companies, each contributing to their expertise and skill set.

At Scoutbee, Roman began as a Frontend Developer, working on the application layer of their products. Roman later took on the role of Tech Lead, where they played a key role in designing and implementing important features and systems. Roman also contributed to the company's architecture and facilitated knowledge-sharing sessions.

Prior to Scoutbee, Roman worked at Babbel as a Senior Software Engineer. Roman worked on two teams, Guide and Travel, where they focused on increasing user engagement through the development and integration of gaming and engagement experiences.

Roman's experience at Smart Host GmbH as a Lead Frontend Engineer involved leading a team and building a CRM system for hotels. Roman automated business processes, refactored and redesigned the main application, and built internal applications for the Customer Success department.

Before that, Roman worked at relayr, where they served as a Frontend Team Lead and later as a Senior Frontend Developer. Roman helped define and shape the application layer of the Relayr Industrial IoT Platform, supervised a team of frontend engineers, and developed dashboarding and reporting solutions.

Roman's career began at Symphony Solutions, where they gained experience as a Frontend Developer. Roman worked on various client projects, maintaining and developing features for JavaScript codebases.

Roman Makovyak began their education at Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2008, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Roman completed this degree in 2013. Following this, Roman continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2014.
