Yvonne Ko

Yvonne Ko has over 25 years of experience in lab and facility operations. Yvonne began their career in 1996 at Bayer as a Research Associate, where they prepared mammalian cell culture banking from scale-up process and bioreactor. In 2000, they moved to Genentech as a Research Technician Associate, where they validated serum-free rtPA cell bank from spinner seed train process and batch bioreactor. Yvonne was later promoted to Sr. Supervisor, Cell Banking in 2004, where they directly supervised four technicians and three contractors. In 2002, they joined XOMA as a Research Associate and prepared MCB and MWCB for mammalian cells and E. coli cultures. In 2019, they joined Berkeley Lights, Inc. as a Manager of Cell Culture Lab Operations, where they managed a laboratory and a growing team of associate biologists. Yvonne currently serves as the Sr. Manager of Lab and Facility Operations at Scribe Therapeutics, a position they have held since 2022.

Yvonne Ko received their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1996. Yvonne is currently enrolled in a short program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying Fermentation Technology.
