L. Reuben Mitchell, MA

L. Reuben Mitchell has extensive experience in employee development and relations, currently serving as Ombuds at Scripps Research since 2017. In addition, Mitchell has been the Director of Employee Development at The Scripps Research Institute since 2006, overseeing recruitment, training, employee relations, and record management while ensuring compliance with institution guidelines and legal regulations. Previously, Mitchell held the role of Employee Relations Manager at the University of San Diego and served as Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs, focusing on student learning and inclusion. L. Reuben Mitchell holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis on Student Development from Azusa Pacific University, obtained between 1977 and 1979.
