Shinya Uematsu

Shinya joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2011 where he led various policies related to energy, environment, administrative reform, and IT. While studying in the U.S., he interned at CONNECT, a startup accelerator in San Diego. He also served as director at Mie Prefectural Government and led policies related to SMEs and open innovation. In 2021, he joined Deloitte, where he supported regional open innovation and corporate revitalization. Shinya joined Scrum Studio in July of 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics, and the University of California San Diego, Global Policy and Strategy.
