Matt Velasquez

Matt Velasquez currently serves as a Microbusiness and Nonprofit Staff Attorney at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, Inc., providing free legal services to low-income entrepreneurs and nonprofits. Previously, Matt founded Solidus Law, where efforts included estate planning and complex business contract negotiation. Matt's early legal career features positions such as Post-Bar Law Clerk at Wasserman Kornheiser LLP, Legal Intern at the City of San Diego, wilkmazz, California Innocence Project, and New Media Rights, gaining diverse experience in litigation, contract drafting, and legal research. Prior to entering the legal field, Matt held various roles, including Buyer at Taylor Guitars, Outside Sales at Fastenal, and held multiple supervisory positions in the United States Marine Corps. Matt earned a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University.
