Amy Chappell, M.D., FAAN has a diverse range of work experiences in the field of clinical neuroscience and drug development. Amy started their career as a Specialist/Consultant and Strategist in Clinical (Neuroscience) Drug Development, working independently in this role since June 2014.

In addition to their independent work, Amy has held various roles in different organizations. Amy was a Board Member at the American Society of Experiential Therapists, LLC starting from June 2016. In April 2022, they became a Strategic Advisor to Xalud Therapeutics, a position they currently hold. Additionally, Amy has worked as an Independent Consultant at NeuroTrauma Sciences, LLC from September to October 2022 and as a CNS Consultant at RA Capital Management, L.P. from June 2019 to June 2020.

Amy Chappell, M.D., FAAN has a diverse education history. Amy first attended The George Washington University from 1969 to 1971, although the degree and field of study during this period are not specified. From 1971 to 1973, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology at Antioch College. Continuing their academic journey, they enrolled at Indiana University School of Medicine, where they obtained their Medical Doctor (MD) degree in Medicine in 1977. Dr. Chappell then went on to further specialize, completing a Pediatrics program at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1977 to 1979. Following this, they pursued an Epilepsy Fellowship at the same institution, which lasted from 1979 to 1980. Dr. Chappell returned to Indiana University School of Medicine from 1980 to 1983 for a Neurology Residency (Child) program.

In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Chappell recently obtained a Florida Medical License from the State of Florida licensing board in 2022. It's important to note that there is no information regarding the obtained month of this certification. Additionally, they have participated in a Corporate Board Readiness Virtual Workshop Series in the same year (2022).
