Kim Diaz

Kim Diaz joined Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in 2013. She was a volunteer for the New York City chapter and in 2017 became the coordinator. In 2021, Kim went on to become the Outreach Coordinator for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. She was responsible for managing the chapters in the United States and Canada. In addition to Kim’s regular responsibilities, she is an advocate for educating people, young and old, about the importance of the ocean and how it’s intricately balanced to support and sustain marine wildlife. Because of Kim’s strong belief in the Sea Shepherd mission, to protect all marine wildlife species living in the oceans, Kim has been on several campaigns to see firsthand the Sea Shepherd’s mission carried out.

Kim graduated Summa Cum Laude from Felician University in 2005, with a BA in History. She went on to receive her Master of Art in Education in 2007 and was the recipient of several awards for her volunteer work. In 2019 she won the Women’s History Month Certificates of Commendation from, the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly; Congressional Recognition for Visionary Women; Bergen County Surrogate Court, as a role model for future generations of young women; the County Sherriff’s Service award and Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Nonviolence.
