Derek Brand

Derek Brand is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational leadership and consulting roles across various industries. Currently serving as Vice President at Seabury Capital since May 2020, Derek combines strategic acumen with a strong background in maritime advisory functions developed during tenure at Seabury Group and AlixPartners. Prior to this, Derek was the Chief Operating Officer at Africa Healthcare Network, where significant contributions were made to expand operations and enhance HR, supply chain, and quality control systems. Earlier consulting experiences included work at Plane View Partners and impactful advisory projects focusing on fleet planning and operational improvement across diverse global markets. Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Chemical Engineering from Dartmouth College.
