Dustin Torkay

Dustin Torkay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2006, they began their career as an Engineering Intern at R&M Energy Systems and later at Sybron Dental Specialties. In 2007, they joined National Oilwell Varco as an Application Engineer. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Project Engineer at Archer - the well company.

In 2012, Torkay joined Seadrill and held various roles within the company. Dustin started as a Technical Superintendent and then became a Technical Leader on the West Neptune project. In 2016, they assumed the position of Head of QHSE before transitioning to the role of Rig Manager for Sevan Louisiana in 2018. From 2020 to 2022, they served as the Head of Projects before taking on the position of Director of Operations in October 2022.

Additionally, Torkay has contributed their expertise as a Board Member at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine - Gulf Offshore Energy Safety Board since January 2021.

Dustin Torkay attended the California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). In 2009-2010, they attended the Texas McCombs School of Business and earned a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC). In 2014-2015, they attended IMD but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study.
