Alan Tsang is an experienced professional in quality and reliability engineering, currently serving as Director of Quality Analytics and Director of Reliability Field Analytics at Seagate Technology since June 2014. Leading a team of analysts, Alan focuses on assessing the field quality and reliability performance of storage products while defining strategies for HDD fleet management. Previously, Alan held various roles at Seagate and Medtronic, including Principal Reliability Engineer and Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer, where responsibilities included managing testing and validation processes, quantifying storage device conditions, and interfacing with customers on fleet health management. Alan's career began at Seagate in 1999 as a Mechanical Development Engineer after earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Alan also completed extended studies at UC San Diego and holds an International Baccalaureate from Armand Hammer United World College.
