Cecil MacGregor

Cecil Macgregor is a seasoned professional in VLSI technology with extensive experience in the storage industry. Currently serving as VP of VLSI Technology at Seagate Technology since November 2004, Cecil Macgregor oversees the development of custom HDD and SSD system-on-chip (SOC) solutions as well as Read Channel development, including Preamp and Motor Driver joint projects with suppliers. Prior experience includes a tenure at Maxtor Corporation from May 1995 to November 2004 as VP of VLSI Development, focusing on VLSI development for custom SOCs, motor drivers, and PCBAs across all products. Cecil Macgregor holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed between 1977 and 1982.
