Russell Verhovec has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2016, Russell also worked at Saft as a World Class Production Manager, where they were in charge of manufacturing, overseeing a plant with a $34 million annual sales and over 100 associates. Additionally, they served as the site leader for the business unit's continuous improvement program, implementing strategies that improved efficiency by 42%.
From 2007 until 2016, Russell was employed at Gerdau Ameristeel, where they held various roles, including Manager of Rolling Mill Operations. During their time there, they led the plant's largest business unit and achieved record-breaking results in terms of safety, cost, and efficiency. Russell was also responsible for launching a lean initiative, utilizing Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Improvement tools.
In 2002, Russell was a partner and owner of Lean Depot LLC, a small business that provided lean implementation services to manufacturing and supply chain areas. Russell designed and developed an automated Kanban system called PULSE.
Earlier in their career, Russell worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as a Business Unit Manager, overseeing a manufacturing plant with $50 million in annual sales. Russell successfully managed and coordinated various departments and played a crucial role in improving the performance of the plant.
Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, Russell worked at C&M Corporation as a Lean Enterprise Office Manager. Russell joined the company during a difficult time and played a key role in turning it around, implementing TPS and DBS practices and facilitating cost-saving initiatives.
