Carrie Goltry Rorem has extensive experience in financial management and leadership roles. Carrie began their career in 1988 at USA Today, where they served as Circulation Manager and later as Senior Controller. In these roles, they implemented performance-based incentive programs, managed distribution and sales, and contributed to the design of a proprietary billing and forecasting system.

Carrie then joined The Seattle Times Company in 2000, where they held the positions of Customer Accounting & Credit Manager and Director of Finance/Controller. During their tenure, they improved the relationship between sales and credit departments, oversaw financial reporting and accounts payable & receivable, and managed annual audits.

In 2008, Carrie moved to Bensussen Deutsch & Associates as the Director of Finance. Carrie successfully resolved long-standing internal control weaknesses and achieved a clean audit after addressing material weaknesses reported by Grant Thornton.

Carrie joined Core Oncology, Inc. in 2009 as the Corporate Controller. Carrie managed the finance and accounting operations, consolidated accounting systems, and improved the efficiency of the accounting team.

From 2009 to 2012, Carrie served as the Chief Financial Officer at Compass Capital. Carrie directed accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax activities, and implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX for the company and its affiliate firms.

Most recently, Carrie joined Sealaska in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they are responsible for financial performance, strategy, and risk management, and maintains relationships with external advisors.

Carrie Goltry Rorem earned their Bachelor of Arts degree with a Business/Accounting Emphasis and a minor in English Literature from the College of Idaho, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1985 to 1986, although the specific degree obtained in this period is not provided.

In terms of additional certifications, Carrie obtained a certification in Mergers and Acquisitions from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education in July 2022.
