Peter Maloney is an Associate Principal at Degenkolb Engineers, a distinguished earthquake engineering firm, where responsibilities include managing and delivering structural engineering projects tailored to client needs. With a robust background in structural evaluations and retrofits, Peter has honed expertise in steel, concrete, and wood evaluations. As a part-time faculty lecturer at NewSchool of Architecture & Design, Peter engages third-year architecture students in structural engineering through theoretical and practical applications. Peter also serves as Chair of the Existing Buildings Committee for the Structural Engineering Association of San Diego, focusing on the evaluation and retrofitting of existing buildings. Peter holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
