Miray Seward

Research Scientist at Search Institute

Miray Seward, PhD, is a Research Scientist at Search Institute since August 2022 and serves as an Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Adolescent Research. Previously, Miray held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Virginia from July 2016 to August 2022, where leading interdisciplinary research focused on the experiences of Black youth in various contexts and acted as the Primary Investigator on a project concerning Black women student athletes. Miray has co-authored multiple manuscripts and presented research at numerous conferences. Additional experience includes project management roles, lab management positions at Duke University, and various mentoring and teaching roles. Miray holds a PhD in Educational Psychology- Applied Developmental Science from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Duke University.
