Duncan Watson

Duncan Watson has extensive work experience in taxonomy development and management. Duncan started their career in 1997 as a Production Coordinator at Sybex, Inc. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a Content Editor at Caredata.com. In 2001, they joined Citeline, Inc. where they held two roles, first as a News Group Editorial Manager from 2001 to 2008, and later as an Outsourcing Director from 2008 to 2013. At Citeline, Inc., they developed and managed outsourcing programs and news aggregation programs for clinical trials and the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2014, Duncan began working at Search Strategy Solutions as a Taxonomy Developer & Search Analyst. Their responsibilities included developing taxonomies, supporting structured data, and optimizing on-site search quality for online marketplaces. Duncan also conducted search quality tests for eCommerce retailers.

In 2015, they worked for eBay via Search Strategy Solutions as a Classification & Structured Data Operations specialist. From 2019 to 2021, they served as a Taxonomist at Facebook via Search Strategy Solutions. Currently, Duncan is working at Gopuff as a Taxonomist.
