Oren Amsalem

Oren Amsalem has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Oren is currently working as a Senior Engineering Manager at SeatGeek, where they lead a group of engineers, QA, automation, and product in integrations, CRM, access control, and payments. In this role, they are responsible for developing the next-generation integration platform using AWS cloud computing, data-driven architectures, and serverless components.

Prior to their current position, Oren served as the Head of Research and Development at Amsalem Global Travel Management. In this role, they were responsible for managing multiple development teams that worked on microservices-based software solutions for e-commerce and B2B systems. Oren also served as the R&D Team Leader, where they led a team of five full-stack engineers and was responsible for the R&D behind e-commerce web applications.

Before their time at Amsalem Global Travel, Oren worked as a Software Engineer, where they were the leading full-stack developer for fintech software systems using .Net. Oren successfully migrated the company to a new back office and built a REST API for external users/websites to consume back office data.

Additionally, Oren has experience as a Founder at Tiltan music school, where they worked as a music teacher for guitar and drums. Oren also managed the music room for rent.

Overall, Oren Amsalem has built a strong career in software development and engineering management, with a focus on e-commerce, fintech, and live events industries.

Oren Amsalem began their education at Ort Tiberias High School from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a High School Diploma with a focus on Computer Science and Physics. After completing high school, they went on to attend Kinneret Academic College from 2011 to 2015. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Software Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Oren Amsalem has also obtained several certifications. In 2005, they obtained a Private Pilot License from the Israel Ministry of Transport and Road Safety. More recently, in 2022, Oren earned an Incident Responder Certification from PagerDuty and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
