Samantha Shafer

Samantha Shafer is a marine science performer and puppeteer at Seattle Aquarium since October 2021, known for the musical puppet show “Catastrophe by the Sea,” which promotes empathy for marine life. With over five years of experience as a private tutor, Samantha creates personalized learning opportunities in diverse subjects. Previous roles include Lead Teacher at Tiny Trees Preschool, where Samantha implemented a child-led curriculum, and various educational positions with City Year, focusing on student support and intervention strategies. Additional experience includes hospitality management at Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream and outdoor education at Bolton Primary School. Samantha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Lewis & Clark College.
